2009 Spring Field Trial Season & some other StuffShiloh's Chief Hellfire took a 2nd Place at the Southern Tier trail this last week-end, we are checking to see if "Shiloh" is now an AFC! and Pheasant Feather's Black Onyx Placed 4th in the Amateur All-Age BIG CONGRATULATIONS to JAY CHAPLIN & Fast Tracks's Cruise Control "Cruiser" on their WIN in Amateur All-Age in Vermont!! This was so well Deserved, Jay has worked really hard on training! Both of the Chaplins dog have done really well in the Hunt Test with Titles accomplished Also, in Vermont, CFC Puckerbush Briley Full Choke "Briley" survived the extreme heat & heavy cover conditions to take a 4th Place, Vern reported that Briley's Mom, Chris, is working on Briley's 2nd Master Hunter Title, he needs 1 or 2 more! Congratulations to Five Post Roxie Road an Indy/Sissy pup on her New Master Hunter Title! Congratulations to Stan & George on their 1st time Ever AKC Events, they earned 2 legs of Junior Hunter!! Zeuss & Scout also earned a legs of SH
Fast Track's Hidden Gun SH "Sniper" Fast Track's Jett Setter From Montana, Angela e-mailed with her Proud News that Zeuss's brother "Ice" earned his Junior Hunter Title & a WDX in same day, their sister is working on her Senior Hunter title and had earned a leg at the Hunt Test! Our gang did fine this Spring, Pepper had the Open 3rd, 2nd in California with Tim & a 4th Place in TN with me the next week-end, she was "Putting on the Show" & finished most of the trails she ran in! Ace earned a 3rd Place in Ohio which Q's him for the Amateur Nat'l, Rocky by Roxie/Indy & owned by Chris Zell took the Win in the Puppy Stake there!! Sniper Placed 4th in the Valley Forge Amateur, his older Brother "Shiloh" placed 2nd. Zeuss Placed in a Puppy Stake & Dayna (by Pepper) took a 3rd w/me handling her in Ohio. Jett had another Puppy Placement in California! Saving the Best for Last, John Stewart Won the Amateur & took 2nd Place with his Dolly/Indy pup Fast Tracks Upland Chase, Chase is a new AFC pending a Water Test, since this was his 2d Win in the Amateur All-Age!! I spoke with Ralph Botti last night, he called to Brag about "Dancer", Tim trained her, Ralph Steadied her! He had some nice news, too. Shiloh took 4th in the Open at Maine & an Indy Grandson took a Puppy Placement. He told me he had been in Canada for 2 weeks & Qualified 5 dogs for their Nat'l, Natasha was one, she was awarded 2nd & 3rd Places & Shiloh, he earned 2nd & 4th Places. Ralph also mentioned that the Pepper/Buddy pup he is training is doing really well & should be a "Big Time" dog! Fast Track's Quick Step SH "Dancer" owned by Elsie & Bob McDonald Won the Amateur Stake at the Maine Club on Sunday, that was a "Big Step" for her!! Our GG son "Kuta" by her 1/2 sister "Jenny" at Woodbine, also Placed 2nd in the Puppy Stake & Finished the Amateur All-Age in Maine, an Excellent Week-end for the McDonalds! Elsie Won the $$ Pot from the Club Fund Raiser, I guess she can buy the dogs a Special treat! Dancer is an Incredible Girl, I recieved an e-mail from Elsie just before the trial & she said Dancer looked like a "Million Bucks" in training, she was Right!! We are Also Very, Very Proud of the McDonalds for finishing Woodbine Cottage Fast Track Jenny's Master Hunter Title & Dancer earning a leg of Master Hunter! Jenny's sister "Callie" from the Indy/Maggie breeding is doing Great in the Rally Obedience, I believe she has earned her Excellent Title their! The below Note to Us just had to be published here, too! They were Competing in Italy for "Best Dog in the World"

become fine dogs.
I want to tell you about an
incredible coincidence relating to the pups. My husband, Brad, was
in ITALY on a business trip. He was talking to a man from North Carolina
(on the same trip) about his computer. The man was showing pictures and
describing how much he liked his computer. As he was scrolling down
through his pictures, Brad noticed one of a dog. He asked what kind of a
dog it was and the man responded that it was an English Springer. Brad
said, "We have an English Springer too" The man said "Best dog in the
world". He went on to say that he got it at "Fast Track Springer" Of
course, Brad told him that that is where we got ours. The man's name is
Rob Honeycutt. Any chance that our dogs are littermates of Mr.
Honeycutt's dog? Pretty cool, my husband travels halfway around the
world, meets a man, and they both have great dogs from Fast Track.

The Field Trial World more updating to come!! What really stands out in my mind? Fast Track's White Russian "Tasha" came on strong this fall, she is a 2006 Roxie/Indy pup, she Place Twice in the Open All-Age Stakes w/trainer handler, Ralph Botti & went 4 Series of the Nat'l Open Field Trial Championship, she was exceptional in her marking, I heard! I got to see her run at the Central New Eng. Field Trial & my Apprentice Judging Notes had her down for some Big Ones there, her & 2 of her sisters made it to the 3rd Series of a 48 dog trial!! 2007 Roxie/Indy pup was marked as Aggressive Bird Flusher & Pin Pointed Big Retrieves, Dancer was just a Pleasure to watch & did was up there until she had a bit of bad luck (Bird Truck scent) 2 Dolly pups made it to the 3rd Series of Amateur, also & Dover was in 3rd of Open. Sissy/Indy pup "Jenny" took a Puppy Placement. I passed my Apprentice Judging, still need another trial. Fast Track's Jet Setter "Jet" Placed 3rd at the Keystone Amateur All-Age, he also received the award for being the Best Looking ESS with the Most Field Trail Potential! He will go to Amateur Nat'l with owner Tom Brisbin handling, Tim co-owns this dog, I just had the pleasure & joy of running him when Tim was either working or needed as a Gunner! Sissy/Indy pup "Onyx" owner Janie Haworth placed in Puppy Stake & so did Sissy/Indy pup "Sindy", owner Gloria VanHouten. Paul handled her, she had another placement in puppy this fall. Valley Forge Field Trial was once again good for the Fast Track gang! TJ's Super Sport "Cap" (Sissy/Indy) owner, Tom Motley, Won the Open All-Age & our Baskwood's Fast Lapper "Pepper" took a 3rd in the Open, my 2nd Open Placement in AKC trials, maybe we will do some more. Pheasant Feathers Black Onyx Won the Puppy Stake, she is a Sadie/Indy pup, owner/breeder Janie Haworth! Baskwood's Gotta Have Faith "Dover" took a WIN & a 3rd Place in Open All-Ages, Hellfire's Chief Shiloh earned a 2nd Place, both owned by Jim Boone & handled by Ralph Botti CFC Puckerbush Briley Full Choke (Indy/Dolly) placed twice, he must be real close to his AKC Amateur All-Age Championship. Fast Track's Jet Setter " Jet" went to the 3rd Series in his very 1st Amateur All-Age! Several of the "Indy Pups" have recieved Rossettes in Puppy Stakes!! Fast Track's Jet Setter (Dolly/Indy 2007) has 2 Wins, he brought us home the Patriot Puppy Stake Trophy which has the Photo of our Girl Roxie's "Perfect Flush". It was Won by Roxie's 1st born pup, Fast Tracks Quick Step "Dancer" last year. Fast Track's Sally Sue (Roxie/Indy 2007) also place 3rd at Patriot! Triple Ridges Jersey Girl "Jenny" (Indy/Sissy 2007) has a Win in Puppys & a few more new placemnets! Pheasantfeathers Onyx (2007 Janie Haworths Sadie/Indy litter) Won in Michagan & has 2 3rd Places Montana "Zippy" earns her 2nd title! She is now a Junior Hunter, her brother, Hellfire's Cold Play "Ice" earned legs toward his Junior Hunter, also! Montana "Zippy" female pup by FC AFC CFC Fast Track's Accellorator MH, NA, NAJ "Ace" & Alott of Hellfire "Zeeza" was the 1st pup of this litter to earn a title! 3rd Place in Open All-Age Indy's Roadtrip Raider "Raider" owner/handler Dave Flint WOW, this is awesome, Dave sent a "note to us" saying how much he was enjoying Raider & they were hoping to finish a Master Hunter title last fall, & planned to run in a few Puppy Stakes! I had no idea he would get into the Field Trials this early & take a 2nd Place in Open right off the bat, Raider is only 21 months old. His mother is Winddrifts Ebony & Ivory Mercedes, MH, breeder is Janie Haworth. Janie repeated this Indy/Sadie breeding last year & I know 4 pups are in the Pa. area, Janie said she is sending her pup "Onyx" to Mike Wallace, when I saw this pup, she was amazing. She quartered the field like a 2 yr. old & was jumping up on tail gate of truck to steal shot pheasants. I met two other Sadie/Indy pups who were equally as nice! She really passed the Hunting Genes on, Bob & Elsie MacDonald Fast Track's Quick Step "Dancer" is the 1st Puppy to Win this trophy, Dancer is out of Roxie/Indy, Bob did the handling, he has been working with her since July, Elsie bought her from us for a Fathers Day Gift to Bob, Ralph Botti trained her for about 5 months!

He is owned by Vern Knapp of Maine Trained/Handled by Professional Jim Keller at his WildwInd Kennels in Knox, Maine We have repeated this breeding & expect pups on the ground in June Fast Track Placements from the AKC Spring 2007 Field Trials I was hoping for better results at the Tennessee trails, Ace & I just were not On Track. I didn't lose faith in him & went to the Stillwater Valley Trial in Ohio to run the Open since he had earned his Amateur Field Trial Championship last Fall (as well as East IC High Point Amateur Dog) & he earned a Credit of Merit at the very large Amateur Nat'l Field Trail Championship. Boy, did this Leap of Faith pay off, he "Aced" the trail & came home an Open Field Trail Champion! Pepper, though I had forgot she was entered, placed 4th in the Puppy Stake! It was a surprise reading the Puppy entries in the catalodge & seeing her listed! The Valley Forge Field Trail was such a challenge to run in the snow, I had Ace entered in the Open since I doubted we would finish his FC so quickly. I was happy to have finished the Open ! Tim & I were really excited when 4 Fast Track Springers were called to the 3rd Series of the Amateur All-Age!! More exciting was that 3 Placed, Pepper took 4th, Jim Malcolm's Dude took 3rd & OMG, I won with Ace!!

sister "Dover" finished the Open All-Age trial. The other 2
Placements were in the Puppy Stake!! I placed
2nd with Tim's "Sniper" Fast

he
was tracking his retrieve, Pepper , her 1st trials since birth
of her 9 pups, ran 2 really nice Downwind Series & was not called to
3rd, was happy with her! We were the Most Proud of our Winfield
Sydney Arenia, she ran her 1st Puppy Stake & earned a 4th Place out of
about 19 Starters!! She didn't even know her name when we got her when
she was a 10 month old Puppy!
